I thought you lived in Illinois?

I think youre right! I believe it was set up on the Baca land grant, originally given by Spain but is still a very valid land grant. I was down at my property today, and it was very easy to dig. I plan on going back in two weeks to dig out the foundation, and have the cabin habitable by the end of the summer. I'll get in contact with the Manitou people, or however is in charge of the grant. I bet we could get free land, like you said to build a temple. I know people down there so resources would not be a problem. It wouldnt actually cost that much at all to build. Down there, we dont have any building codes, so alternative building techniques, ir cordwood, adobe, earthship, etc are welcome. It would be labor intensive, but if we got a few people down there it would go pretty fast. Ill post back with what I find.

I emailed Manituou Institute so hopefully hear back pretty soon.
Adder, that sounds a little too big brothery for me lol. But, if we had someone that lived at the temple to open there door I think I would like that better lol. Or coded locks, but not the webcams, online timestamp etc

We could make a room like that. It would be fun to go in there and moon the webcamAdder wrote: Wouldn't it be kewl if all Temple's had a coded lock that was connected online, and any approved Apprentice or Knight would have a unique code so they could enter with all entry and exit details timestamped and recorded online. A webcam could also be linked in too I guess to common areas so staff could monitor activity. They'd be like safehouses all around the world.

Just a guess, but there will probably thousands of people there at peak times. Nearby is a famous castle built by one dude and tour buses stop there so they'd probably put the Jedi temple on the trip too, lol. Not to mention all the actual temple members there and if it doesn't suck I bet people will just stay forever, lol. The castle is inspiring for people to see what one person can do.MtnDave303 wrote: I agree, roadtrips are fun! It's like a little pilgrimage lol.

Bishops Castle may seem close, but it would take over three hours to get there.
Not a lot of people go to the valley. Most of the towns have under a thousand people living there. If I were to guess, I would say that ten people there at a time would be stretching it.
