Finally back to it.

Checking in!

35 minutes run today... I say run, about half of it was walking. Can't believe I was running for an hour in December, will take time to get back there. Run followed by 15 minutes of yogic stretching.

Best track of the run was 'Slave Only Dreams To Be King' by Marilyn Manson.

It won't let me have a blank signature ...

My problem with this thread is that by the time i'm done with a workout, i forget it exists. yesterday i did:

2 Circuits of
  • 10 Dumbell Rows
  • 20 Lunges
  • 10 Diamond Pushups
  • 20 Step-Ups
  • 10 Reverse Crunches
  • 30" Jumping Jacks
each.

I modified the second set of diamond pushups, because it was my first time doing them and that first circuit killerated me.

Later I'll walk a mile before dinner, because it's been nice out.

should try doing "dogtag diamonds"....it's a diamond pushup....but with 4 stopping points...go down until the first tag touches, stop and hold for a 10 count, go down until the first tag lays flat, stop and hold 10 count, go down until second tag touches, stop and hold 10 count, go down until second tag lays flat, stop and hold 10 count. then back up...and to make it even harder you can do the stops on the way up too....our drill instructors loved torturing us with those....

Monday, 3/30/15
2 circuits of:
  • 10 push-ups
  • 15 squats
  • 15" plank
  • 30" jumping jacks

Wednesday, 4/1/15
2 circuits of:
  • 10 dumbbell rows
  • 20 Lunges
  • 10 close-grip pushups (knee variation because I'm a weakling)
  • 20 step-ups
  • 10 reverse crunches
  • 30" jumping jacks

Today also starts a free beginner's yoga course at DoYouYoga.com , so I'm gonna try that out and see how it works. My training master talks up yoga quite a bit, so maybe it'll help with some of that flexibility I've lost.

I'm also going to look into similar programs for tai chi. I miss the crap out of tai chi, and I'd really like to get back into it. I saw an online instructor certification not long ago for relatively inexpensive, but I want to have a good foundation again before I attempt to add to it.

Checking in

Went running with a friend today down the seafront.
Didn't have phone on me so think I went about 10k.. though only about half of that running.

Was bloody cold and no music, but the sea air was nice.

It won't let me have a blank signature ...
