I agree with many that an acctual temple isnt NEEDED as such but it would be nice to have some form of central location. Dont think Jediism has that many followers in sweden so i understand that it would be long before any type of church is built here. But i wouldent mind. If we built a Jediism HQ grand-temple than naturally i think it should be built in the location with the most followers or were as many Jedi as possible can reach it as easy as possible.
Still i think it should be somewere somewhat remote so that it doesnt become a tourist atraction as such, but rather something reachable for those who are really interested. And i dont think that it would have to be a HUGE structure.. Just an effective one were the space is used to its max potetial to cover the basic needs. Perhaps acomodation, study area, some form of gathering room for sermons or information exchanges or the like. And maybe some form of training area for physical training. Although the last could be done outdoors if in the right location.
Also about the location.. im an outdoor person and i love nature so i would want it to be close to nature..

If I look over to the Family room I have another three pictures on the wall, these ones are colour; underwater shot of the inside of a breaking surf wave (Force/Focus), a shot of a coastline from high up on a rocky coastal slope (Knowledge) and finally a shot taken looking down a long pier over blue water, which kinda represents the path itself analogous perhaps to wisdom.
I didnt even buy these things, my wife did (perhaps she is a Jedi Sentinel and keeping it quiet), but now they mean so much more to me. Some people say treat your body like a temple, and here we empower your mind to become a temple, so why not make your house a temple too.
On the topic though, I found an awesome place for only $2.5mil USD! It is part of a now closed sporting facility which used to host X type activities such as skateboarding, dirt bike riding and even a small lake etc.
The address is 38901 Reed Valley Rd Aguanga, California and whilst very accessible it looks a bit dry and barren really, but has great potential (it would want to for that price) for a training facility like a Jedi boot camp LOL

PloKoon wrote: I was able to meet with a fellow Jedi and sit outside a Starbucks coffee shop. The shop was busy and the sky was clear with blue skies. Our meeting space was a slab of cement and our converstaion were insipred by TOTJO. This was a wonderful place to be in the physical temple. It was the beginning of a new way to celebrate our commonalities. The temple is physicaly around you waiting for you just to meet.
I'd say this is more like it... Does the order have an annual gathering of any kind? Sorry if this is thread-crossing.

The daytime sun here is reminiscent of Tatooine’s, and the night skies are so clear that the stars seem within reach. There are many properties in the desert that could be purchased for a reasonable fee, upon which a temple could be built where visitors would have privacy and peace. There is an observatory/visitor center in town which offers public stargazing and seminars where a group of Jedi could meet and give talks to the public. The Vatican has one of its major observatories on top of nearby Mt. Graham. Also, downtown Safford has many reasonably priced spaces where a Jedi center could be established. Such a center could offer various activities for children and adults, such as martial arts, yoga, tai-chi and meditation. I have been seriously considering opening something like this myself -- perhaps a “Jedi Zen Center.” Safford has an incredible number of Mormon and Christian churches, but there is nothing available for people of other spiritual orientations.
Safford would be a bit of a journey for most Jedi to reach, but that seems appropriate for a monastic retreat. If you arrive here from a faraway land like London or Boston, you will feel like you have landed on another planet. I will try to make some videos soon of various locations around Safford to show other temple members what a magical, Star Wars-like place this is. In the meantime, here are a few pictures to give you some ideas:
Someone needs to do something about the local Sith sisterhood!
The local observatory/visitor center/spaceport is a known hive of scum and villainy
Banthas are sometimes seen in the mountains
The Vatican/ASU observatories on top of Mt. Graham keep a watchful eye on the Empire
