if I return to my country ( eventually its going to happen), I'm going to build one, I know, it's going to be far away from everyone, but it's going to be there, and it's going to be my place to live...
I have some ideas, I don't know if I am going to build something like in THE OLD REPUBLIC (small scale) or if I am going to go with something new, from scratch. eventually I'm going to ask for help when needed.

how important is a real building?, i don't think is needed, but if is possible why no.

I like the monastery ideas where it's a place to live with guest quarters.

I like the idea of a monastery as well, it would help people learn about Jediism as well as give what we believe in a home where people could share ideas, where we could live at and help others learn. Then that may also show the government we are not a joke but a real thing.

As the universe is our center of the Force and the entire universe is our holy land, I see no need for a declared "house of the Force", but rather, as others have mentioned, a center for fellowship, learning, meditation and contemplation.
In my vision, there is a great library of literature from all religions, philosophies, etc. There are a few large rooms (aka conference center) to allow for meetings, presentations, etc. There are large expanses of garden with beautiful vistas to contemplate existence, day or night.

I even envision smaller open-air amphitheaters reminiscent of Aristotle's Lyceum in which discussions or lectures can be held in concert with the Force.

The living quarters would be understated cabins, with many of them being bunk-house style, with several beds within one open room. The gardens, in addition to being beautiful would also be planted with herbs, vegetables and fruit to help the facility be more self-sufficient.

I like the idea of a monastery where Jedi could live (provided they helped support it) and where guest Jedi could stay, if they were passing through. I'm envisioning a library being part of it, as there are quite a lot of educational books and videos involved. Simplistic quarters, not exactly Spartan but by no means luxury. Gardens for food and beauty, meditation area. Rooms where members could congregate and just interact. Preferably on a mountain. :)

Hey, I was just right across the street from the Scientology celebrity club house last night. If that idiot L. Ron Hubbard could make a b.s. religion like Scientology and get hundreds of other idiot celebrities to join them, give them lots of money and have a humongous club house in the middle of upperclass Hollywood, we can certainly do a sustainable monastery, even if it's in the middle of nowhere. People love Star Wars a ton more than they even know about Hubbard. I say it's doable if we put our head, hands, and hammers together.

If we wanted we could take it to the media and if they allow it, show the people Jediism and let people send money to fund the idea however I believe all should be welcomed to stay as long as they want, but they must learn as the other Jedi do. Then with all that money we could build a much larger monastery, and all would be welcomed.

ive wondered about something for a while.

Im a guy who likes meeting and talking to papole face to face rather then over the phone or by letter or over internett. Not that i mind, i welcome all social exchange but i prefer it face to face.

I think it would be nice if there was a physical temple or temples were peapole of our comunity could meet and maybe even live there for a while. Maybe do training together or just hang out.

When i first came to TOTJO there was a sermon called: the temple within. It was basicly about that no physical temple was needed and that everything we could hope to accomplish there, we can acctually accompish within ourselves. It was a real good sermon.

Still i just think maybe it would be nice to meet everyone in real life. Anyways... Im just curious about what others think about this. So if anyone feels like replying then that would be real cool.

I also want to point out that i realize that this may not possible for the time being. But perhaps for the future. I read my topic and it almost sounded like an offer.. it is not:) sorry..
