Well that's because you walked in the side that said "Exit Only" on it and then further ignored the sign that said "Please wait here for next available teller" and instead walked up to each Teller window while other customers were already at it. Then you tried to step over the ropes that guide the line system and almost fell on your face.

Step 1) Look around for signs.
Step 2) Follow directions on signs.
Step 3) You will then be waited on in a timely manner.

It's not a hard system.

I understand that you wanted to streamline the system, I do, I really do... but as you decided to do it at the time when the entire standards to which we work changed then you should have made sure you properly tested your software. Sending us hotfixes all the time does not help, it only makes things confused and means that nobody ever knows if we're up to date. A bug shouldn't give me a £200,000 difference that I can't clear! Then to make matters worse, you take 3 days to respond to tech support calls! And, on top of all of this, you have done what so many software companies seem to be doing, which is making things less user friendly... I can't do half the stuff I could before

Browsing for a new antivirus from what should be trusted sources, and within seconds my screen is filled with a dozen stubborn pop-ups warning me how compromised my system is, wth....

I think I've made a horrible mistake..

I'm overwhelmed with stress, and the brief release that would come in April has now disappeared.

I'm so angry at myself for being so unwise.

Worried I just messed up my shot at promotion at work. I found out someone was leaving and I asked to meet my boss and discuss it. I suggested a scenario in which I replace them in their (more senior) role. I found out I already earn more than them and that I am unlikely to get promoted just for the sake of it. He's going to talk to his boss on my behalf but now I feel like I may come off looking like a grasping idiot.

The thing is I already do more senior stuff than she does... voluntarily. I've only been here a short while (4 months) and maybe that's the mistake. But equally if I hadn't ask, I'd never have known. What's the phrase... "don't ask, don't get".

Things do not have to be one or the other. Many, many times they can and should be somewhere in the middle. Why do we feel the need to polarize to such extremes?
