I have found the force fx lightsabers to be a usefull tool in training, Park sabers are very durable and work well. also the blade is removable for a more civalized look on a Jedi's belt.

ultrasabers makes some good low priced sabers, then there is also thecustomsabershop which has a design generator that lets you put together pieces to design your own from premade machined parts, then it provides a list of parts and the price it would cost...

Is there anything stating the meanings of the colors? I have found a lot of sites all with different explanations. I didn't know if the order had an answer...

There is no policy on the colors. In the past where its come up we've gone by the Expanded Universe designations but even that's not official here.

If you consider yourself a counselor but want a violet blade go for it.

BTW: Years ago I read about a Lightsaber with a bright yellow blade that was banned by the fictional Jedi (as being too dangerous) since it would cut through other Lightsaber blades. Was that something somebody made up or has anyone heard of such a thing anywhere in the EU? It was called a Penari Ligtsaber (if I am spelling it correctly).

Did anyone see the Lightsaber scene on Warehouse 13? I loved it.

While the dark side of the Force created many great warriors, the light side of the Force did as well. 2,000 years before The Phantom Menace, the most formidable light saber fighter before Yoda lived, the amazing Yendar Platis. Yendar Platis had six arms and could use six light sabers at a time. Another fascinating Jedi was the renowned Jedi scientist Crutus Penari. Penari succeeded in creating a yellow-bladed light saber, which could actually slice through any other light saber. This light saber was called the Penari light saber. The Jedi Council considered the light saber too dangerous and it was destroyed with its blueprints. Of even greater note than either Yendar Platis or Crutus Penari was the beautiful Ce Ce Denowai from the planet Rotteron. She had a higher midichlorian count than any female Jedi ever. Of course, the Jedi had to have their clumsier, less intelligent Jedi. The biggest buffoon of the Jedi was Zistar Flamgag.

this information is per: http://yoda.locutus.be/starwars.php

as to whether it's from the official eu...i couldn't say

and as to the warehouse 13 clip...kari byron(from mythbusters) has certainly been busy, between modeling, working on mythbusters, running her own art studio and now acting...where do i find a girl like that...

That clip was awesome, think I'll have to look into getting warehouse 13, looks interesting and I'm running out of re-runs to watch :-p

Looked into Crutus Penari and Penari Lightsabers, doesn't seem to be official EU, but an interesting article nonetheless...

Of EU lightsabers, I think that any color is fine, there are even jedi who used red lightsabers in the clone wars, so any color is free for all if you have the crystal. Personally I like the black, silver and violet crystals myself though the first two are a bit rare in EU

i like silver and viridian....my current saber is silver, i've also had a couple of blues and a red....with my current saber i can actually change the color, but i like to keep it silver....in the end blade color is simply a matter of aesthetic preference...

I prefer the ulta sabers over the fx, I do have darth mauls fx lightsaber, but train with ultra saber liberator saber staff. I studie Jar'Kai, and dabled in Niman, or double lightsaber combat. I have done so for 10 years now and it is a very hard style to master. But I can block auto tracer airsoft shots like no other.

 my brother gave up using airsoft against me....last time he tried i caught the shot without even turning around...before airsoft were the paintball guns....i dodged every round he shot at me, and i was only 15-20 feet away from him....come to think of it i don't remember the last time a projectile of anysort actually hit me...then there are also the many times i manage to know who is at the door,on the phone etc without actually looking or listening, and of course knowing when someone wants something before they have the chance to ask....

ultrasabers is where i got my current saber....i like some of their new designs...especially the 2 newest with the coupler to make them into a saberstaff and they have rgb led's....sign me up....
