That was the compromise between the confidentiality required for Council discussions and the transparency that was being demanded about Council business.

Thank you for continuing to post these, Adder.

Because i have a right to privacy , if you think you have a right to more information you can write to the council , this compromise is above and beyond what the council owes us ...imo

I'm not sure they owe us anything, but we (as a membership) did ask for it. And, they were so kind as to oblige.

I think, Snowy, that you can ask for more information on a subject in the privacy of a PM, if you're inclined.

It just seems like a waste of effort. It's certainly not any kind of transparent.

I find it helpful. I've just pm'd Adder regarding one of the topics.

What would you like to be different?

I guess a full sentence instead of one or two words would help.

for instance,

Changing of the Guard (XXXX for mod)
XXXX - XXXX (4th apprentice)

makes sense, but:

Member XXXX

could mean anything. Are we banning a member? Discussing why they can't seem to get the forum to work? Talking about what color they dyed their hair? ANY more information would be helpful. I don't even know enough from what is posted to know if I even want to ask about it. I might if what was expressed was a little more informative.

I don't understand why the council has to be so secretive anyway. Sure take out names and important facts, but give us some shade of actual information if you're even going to bother pretending to tell us something.

People seem to think we discuss plans to conquer the world #embellishment. We don't. Council is administration, this is the type of stuff we administrate. You don't need to know more details.

This isn't about what you guys think we need to know though. This was about clarity and transparency, if I remember correctly.

The effort in that direction is actually appreciated. I'm just saying, the clarity could be a little more clear. That's all.

Hey Akkarin,

Since you are here, what would be the harm in simply removing information that is private (such as name) and simply turning each point into a sentence?

For example,

In the point about the Nigerian pastor, could we instead say:

-Nigerian pastor was directed to the FAQ's and Temple doctrine for further information

I'm not saying that is what happened, its just an example.
