The Grateful Thread

I am gratefull for the time and love i get here , for the people that we can touch and be of service to in the "real" world , for the impact we have on others even if they feel their world is being put upside down , on the impact we have on eachother , for the Knights here that give a great example for all the others who try to be the best version of themselves , for the brats of all ages that still have to learn a lot ( including myself mind you :laugh: ) and for ( Almost ) Knight Swearalot , you have taught me more about myself and how i show myself to others , thank you :kiss:

I'm grateful for the trust of those that voted for me in the election to my municipality's youth council, and the encouragement of the people around me offered when i considered if i would sign up for the election

Grateful for my Temple, my path and my life.

I am grateful today that I had the chance last night to be part of a Pride event that we called Celebrate Love. For a small town in a redneck part of the country, we managed to pull together about 600 attendees on a single week's notice. Musical acts, speakers, and a candlelight vigil for the victims of the attack in Orlando. And my words are not doing justice to the power of the event at all.

My wife brought people to tears speaking about her brother, whom we lost to AIDS ten years ago.

My musician friends delivered messages of love, of hope, of standing strong, and of being the change we want to see in the world.

Looking out at the sea of candles for the final song (which itself is one that usually makes me weep) was an overwhelming experience.

I have never told so many people I loved them in a single night. Friends, strangers, didn't matter.

I am grateful for the astonishing capacity of the human heart.

Thankful for an envelope fuser on my new 1070.

For family members who love and trust one another

That I waited until yesterday when I was at the clinic to stop by the Referral office. And more so that there was a Sgt there who knew what he was talking about and could not only get my referral for my MRI fixed, but get me to a good clinic too.
