Deleting your account was created by
I would if possible like the ability to delete my own account.

Recently I was banned on Force Academy and found it helped me move on from that community.

Of all the Jedi websites I like this one the best, however I still feel it is a drain on my life.

If there is a method by which a user can delete their own account could someone share the method to do so?

If not I publicly request my account be deleted or banned.

I really do not wish to be apart of this community any longer, but feel compelled sometimes to post on topics I have specific knowledge on.

Not having an account to post with would help me personally move on from this site.

Posts that are made cannot be deleted except by a Councillor or administrator and unless a post breaks one of our rules (see FaQ #29) posts will not be deleted unless there is sufficient and justifiable reason.

As a Church any posts made on the forums become the property of TotJO, if you have any concerns about posts containing private or sensitive information that you wish to be deleted then please see a member of the Council to discuss what steps can taken.

Posts can be edited up to 1 hour after posting or after a post has been edited - you make a post and wait 59 minutes and then edit it; the timer is reset and you now have another hour in which to make changes.

As a general rule, whatever is written on the Temple is written in ink and cannot or will not be erased.

Personal information can be deleted but your posts won't be. Just don't log in again. If you find that difficult then ask that your password be changed and don't request what it has changed to...

I'll just post in here once every month or two to renew my request for account deletion or banning.

I wonder about your self control... :)

In this area, not your overall self control...:)

You make yourself out to be a master of yourself, especially your physical side, and yet cant stop coming to an, in the big picture of the universe, a piddly little website?

So, when you want to not watch TV, do you throw it away? Simply remove the temptation?

How about the internet? Do your trash your computer when you've seen enough porn, er, I mean cat videos?

While I am sure, there is something out there that says we have to do as you ask, legally...

How about our obligation to our fellow man? And helping him to improve ourself?

Which is what we are suggesting...;)

On walk-about...

Sith ain't Evil...
Jedi ain't Saints....

Well I don't know about account deletion but posts will not be deleted as they are our property (which sounds ominous but is standard procedure for sites such as Facebook and Twitter...)

You know Maynoth, Im not sure you realise this, but there are a number of people who do value your participation here (when you are engaged rather than just posting), and do wish that you were able to be more a part of the community without feeling "drained" by it. I for one hope that you can eventually see this place and people with a different perspective because I think you would be very surprised at how supportive it can be, but of course, your path is your own and if you feel you need to leave, then that is what you should do. But consider this;

He's finally listened to my advice and got out. Don't drag him back here now! lol.

He, truly, doesn't belong at Jedi sites that exist now. In my opinion, he needs to make his own site. He has unique enough views to justify one. And, for the record, I'd join it.

I agree Connor. My point to him both privately and publically has always been that he has a lot to offer, he just needs to offer it in a way that doesnt make people want to reject whatever he says outright.

Des, part of me wonders if youre kidding... ;)

I tried creating my own (non jedi) site once, it just filled up with 12 year old adhd dbz fans.

I am not sure creating another Jedi site is the answer, any more than creating a dragon-ball-z-ism forum would be the answer.

There just aren't enough serious people in any community, the serious individuals are all Atheist and changing their minds even with in your face proof would be next to impossible.

The rational people I need to convince can't be convinced, the irrational people I can don't need to be apart of the community in the first place. It's a catch 22 of the highest degree.

The small handful of people I've found that were interested just want to mix it with magickal ritual, and cast spells, or do reiki along side it, or meditate with vipassana meditation, or use it to contact Thor because the avengers is cool, or use it to shoot spirit bows because they think they are a quincy from bleach, this isn't the sort of person that needs to be pursuing it.
