Akkarin, couldn't you just link all those to the one document?

Just asking.....

All the simple oaths still state that the oath is necessary to become a member.

Convictions are more dangerous foes of truth than lies.

Nope. Take for example:

FAQ#7 wrote: 7. I've filled out the Jedi Application. Why hasn't my rank changed?

Rank changes are not automatic, because of this please bear with us as they are normally processed in batches during the week.

If however you feel that your rank has not been changed after a significant amount of time please send Jestor a Private Message to ensure he is aware of the situation and can address it.

Should there be a problem with your Jedi Application [strike]or Simple Oath[/strike] that is preventing your rank from being changed you will be notified of the issue so that it can be addressed.

Changes to that Oath page have been made, thanks!

Found another reference to the oath hiding out on the front page of all places. Says that our members take an oath to follow the Jedi way.

In theory we changed the policy, right?

Why are so many new members still posting their SOs before completing the IP?

Beyond theory, it is implemented....

We have changed where we can find it, have ask to be notified when a missed "old" notice is found, to.let us know...

It is 20 days into the change, after almost nine years of tradition...

People follow the stream...

We can either let it fade on its own, which is my thinking, or someone can PM people, and ask them why the are doing it....

Any takers?

On walk-about...

Sith ain't Evil...
Jedi ain't Saints....

Why don't we just close the oath section and ask that they are made in journals in the future (that's what I've done in the youth forum because oaths were still being made there).

It won't let me have a blank signature ...

It is probably because they see lots of people taking oaths there and then might think "Hmm... maybe I missed something, I better do one just to be on the safe side." There is no guarantee that everyone will have read the FAQ (or even know where to find it) by that point.

I thought about moving it to "members only" access...
