For example:

"I'm literally so tired."

"You literally have no idea..."

WELL I CAN ASSUME YOU WEREN'T SPEAKING FIGURATIVELY.

Also, words like "totes" (totally), or instances where girls address their friends as "sluts" or"hos". ("Hey slut, what period do you have lunch?")

I will never understand high schoolers.

Unfortunately, I've had similar experiences in High School as well. It's a rough time. People at my high school use swear words as often as they breath and really don't understand the severity of what is actually coming out of their mouths.

Teenagers seem to be very rude and annoying as a whole. I understand that some - probably MOST - teens are good people, but society has truly ruined it for me. It's as though disgusting clothes, rude words, and unplanned pregnancies are becoming the new 'normal.'

What the heck? You guys think that stuff is cool? I will never understand the intricacies of society.

Crossing Star and Sean Ching,

As ambassador to teenagers for the next month, (in which I turn Twenty) I feel I must form a retort concerning your previously mentioned statements regarding said teenagers... and it is this:

I can't argue with them, though most adults also seem rather rude, vulgar, annoying, and uncivilized as well, as does their appearance. (I work in retail, so I have seen my fair share.) The suggestive tees, the mini gym shorts with 'Juicy' on them. Mostly adults in their late twenties-early to mid thirties...eww...and don't get me started on pregnancies!!! How about we come to a happy compromise and simply state a lot of people can be schmucks, and it is not limited to age, as well as remembering that they (the teens) all learn it from somewhere! :)

Isn't it normal for adults to have a strong sexuality (and get pregnant?) If you judge adults in such a way, no wonder kids rebel against what they must perceive as dinosaur views and do it themselves.

I think the real problem is that kids nowadays are in contact with "adult things" at such a young age that there no longer is a difference between the "adult society" and the "children society"...

Convictions are more dangerous foes of truth than lies.

I've seen my fair share of such things, to be sure. And yes, those teens do have to learn it from somewhere, don't they? It just confuses me that adults do all that stuff themselves and then and act like it's okay. Then, inevitably, a teen gets the bright idea  to copy what they see their elders doing.

The adults need to realize that the younger generations are doing these things because they see it done. Be better examples, society!

That's the biggest issue, isn't it? I remember seeing a commercial when flipping through the channels about 'back to school clothing.' It horrified me to find that the kids in that commercial were dressed up in risqué clothes with 'gangster' designs on them! How could that possibly have been approved?

Agreed.

Agreed. I try to let such things go though. Its all just the "progression" of time and society if you ask me. At some point people will decide to change the direction or it will be changed for us.

Also, in re: the comments about teenagers being horribly misbehaved and rude -
Speak for yourselves! I was a perfectly model citizen throughout my teenage years and am now!
*nose grows*

Now for my strategically placed response to the actual thread:
"Liar liar pants on fire, hanging from a telephone wire"

“Though, as the crusade presses on, I find myself altogether incapable of staying here in saftey while others shed their blood for such a noble and just cause. For surely must the Almighty be with us even in the sundering of our nation. Our fight is for freedom, for liberty, and for all the principles upon which that aforementioned nation was built.” - Patrick “Madman of Galway” O'Dell
