I made the thread to rate interest and knowledge level. Now perhaps we can take it to Ren and the Council.

This is cool! I have been doing a Tai Chi sword form for about 8 months now but it's different from this. I want to learn this one now too. :D

Jealous. Though I really want to study a fan form first...

Hi! I'm primarily a fencer, but I'm interested in this topic for other arts.

Also, does it have to be restricted to swords?

Fencing is in my opinion a very efficient martial art. And also very effective.

No. I've requested a section for martial arts in specific.

Had to go watch one and I'm glad I did. Beautiful and elegant.

Edit: sorry for choppy editing here, I'm on mobile and still don't know how this works.

I started the process of it over at TPLA, but i don't have an indoor space to train in, so I quit for the winter and haven't had time to pick it back up this summer.

They have some nice duels. Some are a little flaunty for my tastes though.

'allo! I'm really glad this seems to be taking off!

For what I do in terms of combative arts, I fight within Dagorhir and Amtgard (Dagorhir is my preference). While it is not in the same vein as taught schools of martial arts, and it is using foam, I find the actual ability to hit people without fear of injury allows me better find myself in combat like situations. I also get to play around with grappling. I would like to learn more traditional martial arts (lack time/money) and partake in SCA (no health insurance).

Any assistance I can provide, I would love to offer what I can! I may not have all the formal training in the world, but I have lots of experience with that close up grind.
