Interpretation is happily broad and loose in reality. Most contemporary haiku poets eschew all traditional rules, syllable counts etc.
Some examples...
But we have our own thing going here, which is fun in its own way

@ Den-
They may be all that, and they may not. :woohoo:
A deep connection to the Way goes beyond form or idea, so I wouldn't worry too much about appearances or presentation- but instead, if it shakes me with a laugh from the Great Center

okay, i got it, it's cool
so, jedi haiku are not traditional haiku - I can live with that. )
in Japanese haiku got much closer to the Way because of the hieroglyphics. it was both visual and word poetry, in a way. sometimes, with beautiful illustrations.
I seek the modern way to do the thing, a form for concentrated strikes of the Force through art.

Hello everyone!
My haiku are in Russian, just like Den's, but I can translate some of them.
I hope you enjoy.
* * *
Sense of human life…
Are you recognizing it
In a teardrop?
* * *
Stream is fast and clear,
Throw a dirty stone in it –
And that stone will shine.
* * *
Silence. No wind.
In the mirror of the lake
I see the heavens.

All the holy books
Are just ashes on the ground,
Left from fallen stars.
* * *
Ashes of the past
Are still here to remind
Us of who we are.
