if i were designing a meditation room i would start with earth tones for coloring and a lot of plant life, and a fountain flowing gently off to one side and maybe some kind of chimes
id want candles, both because they are soft lighting and because i like to candle gaze
definitely i would want a quality surround sound, for drum beats and chants and tones ect
i like to have visual things around so some mandala-esq posters maybe
most important of all would be really comfortable sitting accommodations
sound proof walls
a window with a view of some really great natural scenery outside of my mansion because why the heck not, its my design right?
---
for those who mention getting distracted when you meditate, id like to kind of challenge you to include or maybe just TRY another sort of meditation, which in a nutshell is simply being aware of the sounds around you - all of them
the basic idea is to hear every sound that reaches your consciousness; open up your attention so youre aware of everything without being attached to any of it
try to absorb everything without holding on to anything, so to speak
this evolves to other senses like smells and the feel of the air on your skin, and theres a walking version where you keep your eyes open and absorb all of the visual cues in the entire panorama in front of you, but just the sound meditation in a comfortable position would be fun if you enjoy meditating and you havent done this yet
it trains your attention in a different (from the inner directed meditation which is silent and blocks out external distractions) but equally GOOD way
definitely its a wonderful exercise in "mindfulness"

Like a sphere tent that can be transparent or opaque and break down into a duffle bag
