That's a really good idea!

I think a dedicated room would still be cool too, as I would probably use that more than a kit, but I'm sure plenty of Jedi would like a kit as well. I prefer to be indoors, and 'safe' in my mind while I meditate and open up.

I do really like the idea of a 'kid' though, for sure. Some sort of backpack design that breaks down?

Well, I don't have a room, or actual physical place I "go" when I meditate.

Somehow along my life journey, I came across an app that had a guided meditation-- it basically said to imagine yourself in a forest (and continued on as I got distracted), but I figured if this forest would be mine, I'll make it how I please. When I sit and meditate, I go "there", regardless if I'm on public transportation, taking a break from work, or what have you.

At first, the only thing in my dense wooded forest was trees--then I got bored with that, so I made a path that had a slight incline and curves so that way I had a meadow to lay in and meditate there. Eventually I added a declining path that had a fork in the road, where one path lead to a clearing with an old knotted tree, and the other path lead to the beach/ocean with soft off-white sand. Ironically enough, my forest wouldn't work in real life, as the lack of insects and other living things (outside of plant life) don't exist--and that's part due to the fact that I'm a "city" girl (by my husband's standards). I didn't want birds or other animals to be there and distract me, as I have a hard time focusing on any one thing, let alone to try and calm my mind down.

any room that's reasonably quiet, reasonably bright, reasonably well ventilated and that has a chair in it :-)

Do not look for happiness outside yourself. The awakened seek happiness inside.

Anywhere that I am at the time. I believe Meditation should be achievable no matter how quite or khaotic your physical location is. In the silence of your bedroom or the crazy streets of new york (as examples) its the act of meditation that is important, not the room :)

I like this idea! One of my favorite places to meditate is outside. Some find it distracting but for me meditation is all about re-merging myself with the Force in a sense. I aim to let go of my consciousness (a word which I have yet to not need spell check on) and just be one with everything. It's not super easy to do with nothing around me. Although the silent empty room is also useful and I enjoy meditating there as well. Sometimes it helps to be cut off from all distractions. I will sometimes have my headphones in, no sound, just to block out outside noise.

I just like to do it anywhere I guess. Portable would be ideal.

Side note, in a moving car while sharing the back seat with two large dogs is not an easy place to meditate. LOL

Currently my project is turning more into designing a tent-like object that will be used to isolate one's self to allow for total concentration I am aware that an experienced Jedi can find meditation anywhere, however this is not true for everyone so Im trying to focus on that Jedi who would appreciate a separate space for meditation

"Perfect?" I actually prefer imperfect things for their variety. I just need a quiet place. A couch or recliner helps me relax. In airports I can find a corner and lie on the floor with my day pack for a pillow.

For me, something open, and.. Empty
Simplicity is what draws my attention, i would probably have it isolated so that no outside noices would come in and disturb me and my sphere of silence
