Myths?
Steve Jobs was a man with a temper, who ran a company who was very good at marketing. All that said, though, while they didn't change much, they brought a few technologies into the main-stream. Cloud software and tablet computers didn't take off until Apple used them. Death doesn't saintify, in my opinion. What we have to look at is the original stories the modern things are based on. Harry Potter is a good story which mashed up the mythology of most of Europe to some extent.
I'd also recommend looking up John Carter, cited as one of the original sci-fi and superhero novels.

Oh dear... PICK ONE?
That sounds not so good.
I do like the rest of your post though haha
lol, no dirsrespect, but shall I list some?
Shoot, on a quick search, Wiki has a better list than I could come up with and it breaks them up by type: "from chaos", "earth diver", "ex nihilo" (from nothing... Christianity and Islam are in this group), "mesoamerican"...
I'll stop there, , too many to list...

I mean, I find the Genesis story pisses me off. I mean, God saying: "hey, people, you have dominion over everything" kind of sends the wrong message to our modern world.

But, I think you misunderstood what I meant...

And everyone is definitely entitled to their opinions....
For me, the stories, the myths, transfer a message... Sometimes knowledge, sometimes a lesson, sometimes, hope....
If the leaders didn't have an answer for everything, then what kind of leaders would they be?
People do not like weak leaders without answers...
If people ask how the world began, they can turn to the bible... (Sorry Christian brothers and sisters... Its a fictional myth for me, personally...) And, there are many stories of creation, pick one...
If I wanted the children to stay indoors, and not wander around at night, I might make up the myth of the boogeyman...
If I wanted to explain that "there is someone for everyone", I might share "Beauty and the Beast", or Cinderella", or in the newer myths, "Pretty Woman", lol....
And even with in a story, there could be smaller lessons, besides the main lesson...
I am saying that if we discuss creation myths, there are many to choose from... Pick logically, pick your truth, there is enough to choose from....
Not just "pick a myth", like throwing a dart... lol...
Just as I showed multiple examples of "someone for everyone" myths...
Was I clearer?
