It certainly is exciting.

I love Disney. They seem to have a higher standard than some other companies. Hopefully they'll do it justice.

The good thing is disney scriptwriters have a good grasp of the monomyth.

Seriously. Compare star wars with pretty much every watchable thing Disney makes. It's the same hero's journey. copy/paste.

-Unlikely hero
-father dies
-funny friends. timon = c3po, pumba = r2d2
-Hot babe/princess/lioness
-Hero has a special power that creates life, baddies have a special power that kills it.
-Some kind of power that allows communication with the dead.
-Wise old man/ape
etc.... Oh and they both have a prequel which sucks big time.
