The Grateful Thread

Incredibly grateful for 8 wonderful months with my beautiful, funny, kind girlfriend and best friend Mary. We have our ups and downs and we're both passionate, feisty people by nature, but we love one another very much and we're extremely happy most of the time. We've got through some very hard stuff together and I've never known happiness like being with her.

Also grateful (though "grateful" is a stretch) for the evil lettings company who finally agreed to return my deposit for my old apartment. This means I can start planning a holiday later in the year, we're looking at India I feel very lucky to have this opportunity and to get to see some more of this amazing planet and its people.

I am grateful for motivational speeches.

I am grateful for my friends and those people who are family, blood related or not. Whether or not I've met you in person, you mean the world to me!

I'm grateful for my job. I was sitting in a seminar today about a specialist area of tax and realised that not only did I enjoy the subject but in a weird way it does give me a chance to help people even if it's just to navigate and understand the slalom that is tax, audit and company law. I'm grateful too for the people who still seem to believe I'm good at my job and worth sending on these things
