oh god... lists...
1. When a guy is upset and walks into the room, there is an aura ( for lack of a better term) around him. They can change the entire feel of the room, even if it is just everybody ignoring him. People have a different feel from anxiety to sadness to irritation. I think people are inherantly aware of this. But they ignore it or doubt it, or whatever. Whatever it is, it obviously works.
2. 3. These both are exactly the point I was getting across. They aren't a disagreement. I have to assume you didn't read what I wrote properly.
4. People aren't inherently good. They are inherently afraid of being bad. If it was right in their face of a problem they could influence and stop, then they'd be afraid of making it worse so getting involved is still unlikely. You're right though, they would care. From a distance...
I think it's just extensions of the bystander effect.

As many people are color blind to the spectrum of colors, I think fine tuning to read the aura (or whatever) is a skill most do not have...
Yes, they can tell there that there is an issue, but not whether a person is angry, irritated, hurt, worried...
There are other indicators, such as body language, but even then, signs can be confused if not trained/paying attention to the subtle differences...
And, it is not a skill they care to refine... Being too wrapped up in their world, lol...
++++++++++++++++
The second half of your number one in your last post, is a repeat of number two in your previous post...
When I choose to respond, I broke the thoughts up...
So I responded again, with a similar reply...
Perhaps you didnt understand what I wrote? and the manner in which I replied?

Now, forgive me, but you are tying these together by placing them together... At least from this side of the screen...
This:

Which I was saying, perhaps not well enough... And, I began this post with my answer to that point...
My disagreement in 2 was because this:
To which I responded saying I dont think people choose to ignore it...
They may not even realize they have this 'power', or way of perception... They are simply living their lives...
+++++++++++++++++++++++
As to the third and fourth points, again, you grouped them together, which I broke up...
You said:

But again, I broke it up to address the points... Maybe that was a mistake, :lol:
So, on point three, we would also disagree...
+++++++++++++++++++++
Let me rephrase...
People are inherently good (in their own minds)... Meaning, they seldom set out to do "bad"... They (try to) do what they think is right, will give them the results they are striving to achieve... For their God, themselves, their people, their family, their pet, their boss, etc...
Just because the majority would not agree, does not make them wrong...
It has been proven time and time again in the world, that being in the minority doesnt mean you are wrong...

people already know that a guy is sad or something. Or happy whatever.
I think all people are empathic, they just choose to ignore it.

So would they treat them any differently if it was physically right there?
I'd bet they'd just try harder to ignore it

I'm sorry for my late reply, I was busy not wanting to.
I made the same point because you basically asked for the same answer. Funny how that works.
And I never said they would be an incredibly experienced empath, you said I did. I said they have the ability to and they ignore it.
And no they choose to ignore, they condition themselves until it's muscle memory or reflex that they ignore it. Yeah they don't recognise the ability but it's more they don't recognise the ability anymore.
People don't inherently do good things, they just want good things happening to them. They realise how that happens is through doing good things but that is after they recognise the environment so it isn't inherent anymore now is it?

Don't feel obligated on my part...
So much for an interesting conversation, eh?
On the "inherently good" comments, I guess its how it looked at.. I feel you are wrong, in that my observation of the world tells me my opinion is true... And im willing to bet ive seen and experienced a bit more than you... Perhaps I am just looking for the positive all the time...
As to "choose to ignore", no, they are not even aware they have the ability... To choose to ignore, they would need to be awakened to the fact it is even possible.. And most folks are not that awake, and aware...
Or our numbers would climb even faster... :lol:....
Also, I dont believe I said said it would take an especially gifted empathy, merely one who is paying attention... And few are...
Maybe im still not clear?
I've repeated myself now as well...:lol:
