The sarcastic content of a statement will be dependent upon the context in which it appears "FUN" : )

An excerpt from Nessmuk’s book, Woodcraft and Camping.

There are some who plunge into an unbroken forest with a feeling of fresh, free, invigorating delight, as they might dash into a crisp ocean surf on a hot day. These know that nature is stern, hard, immovable and terrible in unrelenting cruelty. When wintry winds are out and the mercury far below zero, she will allow her most ardent lover to freeze on her snowy breast without waving a leaf in pity.

HAha, and I thought the wizard bush hat of the Bush Tucker Man was tops, the Emu hat is a real competitor for best head wear.

Okay everyone, my first spoon!

No… I have used a spoon before. :P What I mean is this is the first spoon I have ever carved. And except for using sand paper in the bowel part of the spoon, every other part was done with a knife.

Attachment heb7c8ad.jpg not found

I used the back of the knife, the spine, to scrape the wood smooth on all the other parts.

I am rather pleased with myself on this one. :D
And while making this spoon I figured out several things that I need to change on the next one I make. :D
