lol @ Phortis.. and, btw, you have got to be one of the most busy guys I've ever met.. lightsaber, bookcase, work, reasearch, no telling what else, wow!!! Lol...
Yea, if you don't know, tell me, "I think", or "maybe", but to speak of things, which a person cannot prove, as a fact, makes me laugh...
I think, Jesus was a "Buddha-esqe" type person, and his message got taken to literal, and instead of worshiping the world, and each other, it got corrupted into worship of a deity...
Only my opinion...
That's why I like this comic... it makes him, uh, like a wise man.... And sort of a smart a**... lol..

Your right Jestor,
Through the studies I have done, I believe that the year that Jesus was "wandering" through the world, he spent time in India and Tibet where he learned of the Buddha and his teachings. This is why I feel that so many religions are similar.
Case point: Why do police seperate witnesses? So that one witness is not remembering someone elses story.

I always hated going to Catholic school. Grades K-7! I always "asked too many questions" or "shouldn't have been asking those questions". I stopped being full on Christian when I was about 8 years old.
When I was around that age, I thought really long and hard about what I believed about the universe and how it worked.
I decided that I believed science was fact and could be proven, but God must also exist to have created everything in the first place (just not in seven days). I told all my teachers and my family and my parents that God must have created the pinpoint of matter for the Big Bang, but then just let things flow naturally. The Laws of Physics are just natural.
I told them that God just exists in our universe as a "force" guiding things on a universal scale and an individual scale.
They told me it was "the Devil seducing me". So, I decided to search for a new religion that fit the beliefs that I had decided on. I searched for years through different religions.
I eventually started researching New Age and Buddhism. They lead my beliefs to really spark when I found out about Jesiism, which eventually lead me here.
The Force must have guided me here, just very slowly.

I cannot imagine not being able to ask questions. My father always taught me to question everything - especially things that didn't make much sense to me. He used to sit at the table with me for hours talking about religion and philosophy from before I can really remember.
I do understand that there are some things our minds simply cannot grasp - like eternity, for example, but for the most part, there's got to be something.

That's truly awesome and you're very lucky. Not many have parents like that. I hope to do that same thing with my child or children, should I ever have kids.

It's an awful thing to live through. It wasn't my parents as much as every other adult, though.
I plan on telling my son facts about all different religions and philosophies, and then I'll let him pick what he thinks sounds good.
He's only two, though. So, I've got awhile. Haha
