Yes and no... If I remember correctly, it has to do with the recogization of symbols, which is all letters are...
Letters represent a sound, most words, once known, remain identifiable... As well as being able to guesstimate based on the surrounding words, as some words seem to group together in some senteces..
If you took a seldom known word such as this one, already scrambled, do you know it?
