there lays the trick - i never said she broke speed laws - theres nothing against getting to speed limit in minimum time in the UK - oh - she was a 'professional' driver for 30+ years anyway :D

She is a damned skilled driver - i tried talking her into taking her car to doncaster raceway or brandshatch to give the car a thrashing - she want too really - she just hasnt been persuaded yet :D

I never learned to dive a car - I thought powerboating licence would be more useful :D

Ive always said If I won the lottery - I wouldnt buy an expensive sports flashy car as such - Id buy something with power and handling so something like a Mitsubishi Evo

I do like your ford taurus' tho ;) (and ford falcons - mad max's interceptor ;))

for nmow im limited to peddle carts :D

Just wanted to let you all know that my absence fron the temple is due to fighting a virus on my home computer.

It's one of those that pops up, says that I'm un protected and as soon as you decline to buy their anti-virus program you are promptly introduced to unending porn sites:ohmy: ...needless to say my kids are without internet also, and I am working on a couple of solutions before resorting on sending the laptop out.

I will be on everyday during lunch at work until the problem is solved.

hey, if I may make a suggestion, there are two free softwares that seem to fix most of the viruses that I see (which is quite a few being a comp tech)

Avast! - free with a email registration
Malwarebyte's antimalware - free for basic usage

if you run scan's with both of these, 99% of the time it will catch and contain the virus's

Not to advertise for these companies, but I use them on contract jobs and with friends because they're free and do work with no b/s

another good a/v to use is trend micro...they have a free trial you can run for 30days, but you can renew the trial a couple of times, then if you want to keep it you hafta pay...it's a very good program...i had the same virus as u did garm and trend got rid of it instantly....as a side note trend micro is also the company that beat the confikker virus....they said it was the most complex virus they ever seen, prolly why it took em about a month to finally crack it

Well, moving forward...somewhat. I was able to remove the virus but somehow in the aftermath I've lost my internet connection. My daughter set it up three years ago and while I know she wrote all the settings down I couldn't find 'em. I'm going to have to call the provider and sit through the voodoo this evening. :side:

Praise the computer gods!!! I'm back on the web again...a little bowing and coaxing of the connection wizard and after an hour of scratching my head as to why I had internet but could only contact my bank and nothing else...I realized that the proxy server for my LAN (that I don't have) was selected...click it off and presto! Immmm bbaaaccckkk! B) :cheer: :cheer:
