I suppose I naturally lean towards this rite more than anything else - or at least a 50/50% mix of this and pureland
but you know me - im not into the 'rites' thing personally anyway

It is not necessary for a Jedi to believe Jediism is a religion. Even if one holds that Jediism is not a religion or that s/he does not hold it to be his / her personal religion such an one may nonetheless be a member in good standing and earn rank.
This is because belief actually has little to nothing to do with religion.
That statement requires an essay to explain and I'm working on it.
Stay tuned. Please feel free to muse and post about this.

p.s. Asta did you see this?

My first stop on the rite bus ride was Pureland - it seemed the perfect choice because it was standalone Jedi.
Perhaps it remains the closest to my heart especially with Br. Johns words \"belief actually has little to nothing to do with religion\".
It has taken me some time to fully understand that faith can apply to many things besides religion as well.
The road I chose for my jedi journey has been full of curves, blind corners and cliff side cowpaths. I think it is time to turn onto route 66...not general order 66 - but route 66.
I look forward to reading your essay Br.

who says order 66 isnt sometimes a good idea
Personally - I dont quite feel pureland covers 'everything' for me but without getting complicated - lets say it covers about 50% - another 45% being (probably) the humanism bit and 5% buddhist (in as much as I believe the bushido code has a lot to offer a jedi)
but to be brutally honest - i dont think rites are entirely important (in their own right) - if one wished to ascribe to one - then - uuumm their decision - i do have 'questions' on how certain rites can co-exist in terms of both sides of the coin (namely abrahamic - im sure your average islamic cleric or indeed catholic priest would have something to say against co-habiting faiths (so to speak))
anyway - just my view and a topic discussed elsewhere if your new and interested

This is the closest thing to my current path. Even though most that know me already here know that I am from the pagan rite. But I am who I am.

I agree Br. Rich. Now that we are gaining bodies maybe we should start a few threads here to look at the bushido code and such.

ive already posted an ebook version of THE most accurate description (in a western language)
I cant remember the host address I used off hand - but use the search tool at the top of the page and type bushido and you ought to get it
I believe BrJohn was considering adding it to the compulsory reading list for initiates/apprentices (very easy read - 6hours max from start to finish)
