Day of Harmony: Day of Service September 21, 2017

Our Days of Significance have historically had very little meaning for us. As part of my role as Pastor I'd like to change that. The first liturgical day that is come to my attention is the one that is coming up on the 21st of September called the day of Harmony. It is meant to honor a connection with each other and the Force. I'd like for this day to be a day of service. I'll be looking for ways to serve in my community that are in line with the thought for this day and I look forward to your ideas and projects as well

Challenge also accepted! I am going to cook something up even if it is just taking my students around school grounds to clean up the trash! Small work can lead to great things!

I would love to participate in something like this. The 21st is a scheduled work day for me, but I might be able to work around and hold some kind of community presentation at the local hospital's conference center and talk about the importance of peace-bearing or action through non-action. Maybe holding a cultural diversity conference?

Challenge excepted Ros! I think this is a great way to start things out wonderful! I am going to see if I can do something like feed the homeless, go around my community and clean up garbage.

Have you any more concrete suggestions for ways in which the day could be marked? I will be mostly travelling that day, then in a meeting - is there anything I can do whilst on a train?
