What plug in?

I'm running on android 4.1.2 and latest hangout. Everything was fine... I've done it before but it won't let me connect today. I don't know what's wrong. My connection is stable... Skype works well. I googled it a lot of others had the same problem. ..

Since it is still technically Saturday where I live, and I am really, really lazy some days, I wanted to test something out. I looked for a workaround that might give a consistent, static URL for a Hangout, and since it's directly related to the topic at hand, I'd like to link it here to see if you folks want to test the extent of this workaround's functionality.
