Seriously? The one Saturday night I am away is the one you suddenly decide to revive that hangout thing after months of total absence? How did you know?

Yes. Also, if the link still works and is active, it's open all the time. It doesn't just have to be Saturdays.

Was there one on sat? I refreshed a few times and i got that there wasn't a call in progress or some such.

I have no idea about these, I clicked on random links I found earlier in the thread but not a lot happened. Are there specific times etc these take place or is it an all day whenever people are free thing? (forgive my ignorance it's the first time I've heard about this)

The most recent link (if we could have someone sticky it somewhere, maybe?) is the one to use. The "official" unofficial Hangouts are on Saturdays (whenever your Saturday is in your time zone), but the Hangout itself stays up all the time, so you're welcome to float in and out as you please.

I was thinking about popping in on Saturday but I had my hands full of baby and didn't want to bug anyone. I'll give next week a try with the mute button handy, and if worse comes to worse, I'll hop off
