Is anyone else here interested in human powered vehicles? I going to build a velomobile for the following reasons:
1. It uses no fossil fuel
2. It's virtually free transportation
3. I could use the exercise anyway
4. It's cheap to make
5. With electric assist it can go distances farther than a human can ride(100mi instead of 20)
6. I'll save money on insurance, registration, gas, oil changes, tires, etc
Here's a photo of one design I like:
And here's the bolt-together DIY frame I will build:

I think they are really cool. I love bicycle riding. Another vehicle I really like are human powered campers.

I love sailing and gliding, haven't done either in ages but hope to get back into sailing one day soon. I dream of having a solar powered self launching glider and a property big enough to operate it from.

I'm slowly piecing together a velo myself... tadpole trike, frame from plywood... thinkin' of having the forward of the cockpit be like the YT-1300 light freighter - nudge-nudge, wink-wink
