Cabur Senaar Does the Candidate fulfill the requirements according to their rank at the Temple of the Jedi Order, including all necessary Oaths or Vows?

Rosalyn J No, he is not
Cabur Senaar And does this Ordination have the approval of the Council of the Temple of the Jedi Order?
Rosalyn J Yes, it does
Cabur Senaar Thank you.
Cabur Senaar Ministers are called to be servants among the people. They are to be messengers, watchmen and stewards of the Church. They are to teach and to admonish, to nourish and to support, and to guide the people through the confusions of life, that they may grow in knowledge and wisdom of the Force.
Cabur Senaar As Jedi they are to protect the peace and defend the weak. As Ministers they are to uplift the spirit through the guidance of the Doctrine and the wisdom of the Force. With the qualities of compassion, understanding, tolerance and acceptance, they are to open their arms to embrace the community and to provide counsel in times of need.
Cabur Senaar They are to minister to the sick and prepare those who are transitioning from this world and back to the Force, supporting all those who are affected by such changes. Standing together with their brothers and sisters, they are to provide light through the darkness, that the whole Church may be built up in unity and faith.
Cabur Senaar In addition to this, Ordination is a commitment for life. It can only be rescinded in the most severe of circumstances as this is a contract between the Minister and the Force, a dedication to serving the people through the Doctrine and the guidance of the Force. This promise is written on the soul and strengthens every fiber of the spirit; as such it is not to be taken lightly and without due consideration.
Cabur Senaar J.K. Barger, Will you on this day devote yourself to the care and the needs of the people as an Ordained Minister of Jediism?
J. K. Barger I will.
Cabur Senaar Will you faithfully minister the Doctrine of this church, by which our community may flourish in their faith?
J. K. Barger I will
Cabur Senaar Will you, reconciled to your eternal existence in the Force, strive to be an instrument of peace in the Temple and in the world?
J. K. Barger I will.
Cabur Senaar Will you stand shoulder to shoulder with your fellow Ministers in upholding the spirits of the people and guiding them to their highest potential?
J. K. Barger I will.
Cabur Senaar And will you strive to further your own self, to be the best that you can be and to allow your light to shine forth as inspiration to others that may follow?
J. K. Barger I will.
Cabur Senaar Thank you.
Cabur Senaar Know that you will always be supported by your fellow Ministers, by the Temple itself and by your own faith in the guidance of the Force. With this in mind, it is with great pleasure that I ordain you as a Minister and Deacon of Jediism and state that you shall henceforth be known as J.K. Barger, OCP. May the Force be with you !
Cabur Senaar Should any member wish to say anything, please feel free to do so now.
Alexandre Orion Félicitations, Jacob

Service
Cabur Senaar I now ask the newly proclaimed Minister to lead us all in a Service …
J. K. Barger Brothers and Sisters, thank you all very much. It is with great humility and the deepest sense of gratitude that I accept this ordination.
J. K. Barger I ask that we take a moment, and enjoy a deep breath that is the momentum of the universe, the Force.
J. K. Barger The ways of the Force are mysterious and difficult to see…
J. K. Barger But how does one “feel the Force?” How does this guide a Jedi’s life- their Path, and how does the Clergy supporting this process? Certainly, individuals as much as institutions have their own ways to observe this “feeling”, so how does one find a balance between the two?
J. K. Barger Clerical service answers that by guiding a sense of regular observance in both our individual and collective paths, a spiritual environment for authentic training is borne.
J. K. Barger By keeping a regular observance, Jedi centralize their conscious experience and suffuse their awareness with the Force. How do we make sense of the spirit of Jedi observance, especially that of the Order’s favored modality, meditation?
J. K. Barger The function of meditation is to actualize peace and light through movement towards the Force; that is to embody the sense of equilibrium and harmony produced within oneself as well as the harmony of the Community. This reflects the perennial maxim of ‘what is within is also without’, relating external order with internal experience.
J. K. Barger Consider, in a general spiritual context, harmony as being associated with openness and the general bounty that comes from the unimpeded flow of the Force.
J. K. Barger When the Force encounters parts of our experience that are not ‘open’, it trickles, eddies, and foments into a stagnation that is the root of the Darkside. When our self-expression is blocked and our motility stifled, shadows of miscommunication dance within, and if left unaddressed, can cause serious pain and suffering.
J. K. Barger Through our dedication and service- the committed practice of meditation, we can explore the wisdom of the Path as it moves into our lives with an open-centeredness, characteristic of the Force.
J. K. Barger Thus, observance shifts to a new narrative based on a perennial or “higher” spirituality: the regular observance of meditation praxis as a practical method to bring awareness (of the Force) to these shadows and preventing them from creating greater blockages in our lives.
J. K. Barger To appreciate this shift, it is necessary to understand that meditation is not simply for personal development, but for civic engagement and societal upliftment.
J. K. Barger The emphasis of an “observance of the Force” lay in the belief in an (often symbolic) universal harmony that pervades our living reality. For a Jedi, especially the clergy, the universe is responsive to human behavior and agency, which gives observance a practical meaning; that is, to align human activity in a practical way that parallels the natural order of the universe, or the Force.
J. K. Barger More than a simple reflection of this order, our actions become a positive affirmation of the natural benevolence of the world we live in. Thus, personal agency and human welfare (and by extension, the harmony of our world), are directly related to observance, and this depiction of a universe alive with potential and susceptible to human effort/energy is naturally sympathetic to an ordered worldview.
J. K. Barger This natural semblance occurs because all things share a common root in the Force the primal provision of all reality. As such, it is meditation that serves as a Jedi’s observance.
J. K. Barger Equipped with a pattern to inform a Jedi throughout their training, the observance of the Force by meditation ensures an environment in which peace and justice can flourish, both within and without the Temple.
J. K. Barger The result of this is none other than the esteemed “higher spirituality”, the living treasure of self-sovereignty and the divine panacea of the universe, the Force.
J. K. Barger
Becoming a Jedi is no different than becoming a father, mother, brother, sister, or friend. By will alone, a Jedi masters the ways of their Path; whether it's through something as formal as ceremonies or something as simple as paying more attention to the clarity of our experiences.
J. K. Barger With a nod to such difference, reflect upon your observance. The sole distinguishing characteristic of a Jedi is simply thus: to serve the Light of the Force.
J. K. Barger Against the objection that Jedi need not enjoy such observances in such a spirit, I simply reply that the observance of the Force is exceedingly simple and with such a freedom of observance, when can one say they are truly not following the Path?
