Made my very first lightsaber was created by
I've made my very firs tlightsaber hilt last night. Had a great time with it. I was curious, has anyone else here ever made one? I just need to find a way to clip it to a belt, and I'm exploring a few different ways to do that. Other than that, it's complete!

there's actually a forum topic on lightsabers somewhere, and yes many of us have built our own sabers. there's also some good sabersmith sites where you can order the parts to build a saber or have one made based on your own design.
there are numerous options for attaching to belts...d-rings, slide clips, magnets...etc
you'll find that once you've completed one, you'll want to make another, and another, and another...i have 5 myself and have made something like 10 or so....

I bought of bunch of parts from Park's Sabers years ago and built my own. I was delighted with it back then. As time went on I put it up on a shelf in a closet and pretty much forgot about it.
Now that my interest is renewed I dug it out over the weekend and find... I am no longer satisfied with it.
question... for those who may know, not to hijack the thread but I think it's topical...
does anyone know how to cut a really thick steel pipe?

band saw, chop saw, plasma cutter, blow torch, cut off wheel....it all depends on the diameter and wall thickness of the pipe as well as the type of steel ie. mild, tempered, stainless etc...i'm not the greatest metal worker but i know a bit about it...i'm more of a designer than fabricator...

You can also take it to a local metal shop, easily found in any phone book...
They'll probably cost a couple of bucks, so make sure to ask first...
Some/most have a minimum charge for any work....
Make sure to post pics!!
I do not have one, I've thought about it... just no inclination... yet! :woohoo:
