I would love to have an amethyst in my saber (kinda like starkiller's saber), but, alas, it would probably break from the impact vibrations. I think it takes a lot of patience to create one's own saber and I really would love to see what you have done once you are able to!
btw, I kinda want that ring in that there picture....
