Kylo's Realization -- THEORY

So my friend has a theory about Kylo Ren (Ben Solo) and his future.

The popular working theory about Rey and Kylo is they both have a power known as Psychometry. This power is seen being used by Quinlan Vos to track down people by touching things they’ve left behind . This power gives the user the ability to absorb memories through touching an object. Many Phycometry users refuse to touch weapons for this reason, as they can absorb the memories of the person that used the weapon.

This is why Rey was able to win her duel, because she was able to absorb the memories of both Anakin Skywalker (arguably one of the greatest duelist of all time) and Luke Skywalker.

Now in Kylo’s case he can use this ability to reach into minds and sift through a person’s memories. Not many dark side users have ever had this ability (it was already rare), so it is speculated that a dark side user using this ability could go through a person’s mind.

Now here is the theory. My friend believes Kylo will go through some training in the Sith Path with Snoke and finally unlock his full potential. Upon doing this, he will touch Vader’s Helmet and receive one of the most powerful visions of his life, detailing Anakin’s entire life, death, life as Vader, and rebirth as Anakin.

Up until now, Kylo has been attempting to become as powerful as Vader. He thinks after this event Kylo will realize that Vader turned back to the light, and may realize the power of the Light Side and return to it.

With the news of Luke’s red kyber crystal necklace, and Mark Hamill stating he thinks Luke may have gone dark or may go dark soon. Perhaps this may be why Snoke is searching for him, to turn him and turn on Kylo. Kylo will return to the light, and join Rey in redeeming the fallen Luke.

So what do you think? Any ideas, things to add?

I tend to think that Kylo will be redeemed, but not completely to the light. In the same sense, Rey will be drawn toward the center and see the value of using darker Force powers after learning of Luke's failures. They will meet in the middle as Gray Jedi. this will happen as they both struggle to become powerful in their own right as they toil underneath the imperfect Masters of Luke and Snoke. Together, they can become more powerful than either alone, but they have to reconcile their relationship with the Force and what powers they are willing to use.

I think the next movie will focus on Kylo's obsession with the crystal (kyber shard from Vader's last saber?) and Anakin's blue saber now in the possession of Rey. The two will be fighting over which is the rightful heir to the Skywalker legacy of Anakin and Luke, and these objects play a key role in determining that, especially if they can draw power from these objects as the theory suggests.
