This is an excellent series, I agree with the recommendation, but... There is always a but...
It doesn't grab me like the original series did, and it doesn't seem fully DeGrasse-ian either...
Either I've moved on, or there is something ineffable missing...

It tried to be much more relevant to contemporary issues as much as it was trying to really inspire people with crazy science. There was a lot of subtle politics going on in its production as one can tell by the topics it chose to specifically cover: evolution, creation, climate change etc.

I just recently started watching but then got side tracked with the Walking Dead and Korra, so now that I'm caught up I'll probably begin again.
