For those interested in such things, bust out your telescopes (I will be); Saturn is as close to Earth as it's going to get in 2013 tonight.

Why get out a telescope when one can see it from a mountain top ?
I'm far-sighted remember ...
(the other evening, we didn't have a telescope, but I was explaining the proximity thing to others here and pointing to that little spot of light near to the constellation of Virgo)
