I thought the other story, I see you..., posted on this thread was pretty interesting so I decided to post another. This is a popular story in philosophy classes. So, where is Dennett?

Haha, funny ending. Nice find, thanks for sharing.
Warning: Spoiler!
Welcome to peripheral architecture! He is confusing the sensory information for the location of the processing, because for so long they were co-located. He was quick to believe - as the reflection in the mirror of "tiny antennae poling up through their titanium ports cemented into my skull" could have been anything, and it would be much easier to implant a device which made you feel disconnected at the flick of a swith, then to transplant an entire brain.
In my opinion, If you went to rob a bank the crime occured at the bank in California, so Where Hamlet goes there goes Dennett. No-one's thoughts are ever illegal, its their actions and actions are from the body.
When the body became disconnected I wondered if he would have immediatly fell asleep or lost consciousness. I think it might freak the brain's process's out suddenly having no autonomic nervous system!!
It was funny when he realized two version of himself could exist, but I think the story breaks down there because I think memories influence the color of the fabric which is our awareness, and once one brain started experiencing things the other brain did I do not think he could have switched from one to the other without noticing the difference. Therefore I think they are different individuals now, seperate brains being seperate identities.
LOL, which is how the author ended up ending it!! Nice

I too loved it...
Warning: Spoiler!
It seems like a video game... I can imagine it through my eyes and brain if I try, but mostly, I thought about it like a video game...
As we can never see behind ourselves without help, a video game has a forward look... We control it without looking at our hands, our attention focused on the game, yet controlling it almost without thinking....
