It is estimated ther are 100-200 BILLION Galaxies with 100-400 BILLION stars each. We live by one star.

The earth weighs approximately 6,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Kg. We weigh an average of 62-87 Kg.

I knew someone would ask that. That's why it's NOT in the science section and IS in the philosophy section.

That info does offer some perspective as to how small we all are. That's also why I think its arrogant to assume that no other planet has life on it, but that's a different topic.

Your welcome. That's my point. Nothing wrong with being humble. I think there is strength in that.

It goes both ways, and perspective changes in macro, but also the micro. It is also humbling just how large we are and that we also house a universe, in fact,multii-verses,even multiple multi-verses.

Just how small are we?

One of my favorite quotes from a very Brilliant man, Carl Sagan in his book Contact. (Adapted for the movie)

Ellie Arroway: You know, there are four hundred billion stars out there, just in our galaxy alone. If only one out of a million of those had planets, and just of out of a million of those had life, and just one out of a million of those had intelligent life; there would be literally millions of civilizations out there.
Palmer Joss: [looking the night sky] Well, if there wasn't, it'll be an awful waste of space.
Ellie Arroway: [looking him] Amen.

"O Great Spirit, Help me always to speak the truth quietly, to listen with an open mind when others speak, and to remember the peace that may be found in silence"

Kaylee: How come you don't care where you're going?
Book: 'Cause how you get there is the worthier part.
