Question: is the website programming done by any of the members, or is it a set package that is just "run?" I ask because I wanted to make a suggestion: add an option in the user options / settings that indicates languages spoken. The result of which could be a little flag (just the the AIM / FB / Skype icons under the user's info on each forum post or the user's profile) that shows what languages the person speaks.
Justifications:
1\ Those who are ESL (English as a Second Language) can find help in their native tongue (either regularly or when there's a specific issue [technical terms or the like])
2\ For those of us who are learning another language, it gives us the ability to find those who can help us. Language & culture are inherently bonded together; this can help in the overall learning process
3\ For those of us who speak other languages, we can extend our help to others who might need help
4\ May facilitate those who just want to help each other advance in foreign languages
Overhead:
1\ Editing user profile template to allow the entering / changing of language parameter (multiple checkboxes or multi-select combobox)
2\ This will require the programming of an additional [SEARCH] function to specifically find persons by language (either by multiple checkboxes or single drop-down combobox)
3\ Editing of user profile template to show additional flags representing language
4\ Editing of forum template to show additional flags representing language
5\ Decision re: which flags represent languages that are spoken in multiple countries (example: the diagonally-split US / UK flag to represent English, Spanish flag to represent Spanish, Portuguese flag for Portuguese, et cetera)
Thoughts? (Besides, "There's another newbie trying to re-invent the wheel again!")

The forum is run by our webmaster ren. He does all of the changes and updates to the website himself and has done a brilliant job of it
These are fine suggestions but unfortunately we are due for another server update in a short while so we probably will not implement them until after that at the very least
As for searching for users, at the bottom of the main forum page you can scroll downt o the statistics and find links for the 'Userlist' alongside links to 'More Statistics'
http://www.templeofthejediorder.org/forum/userlist
That can be used to find someone. Hope this explains some

There are plans for internationalization anyway.
