I Am What I AM... was created by
and that's all that I am?

I was reflecting on some posts about making decisions and one of the thoughts that came foward and stuck is I am the sum of all my decisions or my failure to make decisions. If I'm not pleased with my current status I can't blame circumstances, events or some other outside source. I can stew in my own juices or do something about it. I can accept being a victim or fight.

My life is pretty much what I have made it. I'm not complaining, just reflecting.

O yea, I do need to decide to eat a less and stop wondering why I don't lose any weight. :) ;)

Tautological comments are tautological.

Your experiences all come together to shape who you are. That's why I wouldn't change anything in my past given the chance. I like who I am now. Successes, failures and everything in between.

But self-victimisation, submission? You're letting yourself be walked on, and you deserve better than that, don't you? Take responsibility for your actions, develop and awareness of yourself and work from there. That's what I did and I'm doing great.

Not a criticism or attack, just a response to your reflection.

I could have missed something, but I didn't see "self-victimization" in Rickie's post...I saw him explaining that the "self-victimization" attitude is not accurate or acceptable, because we are the result of our past decisions, and if we don't like who were are, we simply need to make better choices...

It takes hard work and realization to make the changes we all need and seek...

And baby steps... Lots and lots of baby steps... lol...

Set backs will happen, do not let them deter you from your goals...

William looks at it like a realization of weakness... Nothing wrong with that, that is his interpretation...

When all you really did was have a "moment of clarity"...

William, I think before one can believe that his small choices makes his life different, he must know that he is in charge of his life...

I would chose the topic "I am what I lead myself to be...!"

I thought the "?" questioned challanged the validity of the first half of the statment.

We are all crud...we just think we're better than that.;)
