Chess

So I know a few people here play chess and I thought it would be cool if we set up a little thread here so those who like chess can organise games etc

For those old enough to remember... there did use to be a chess application on the site but ren has said previously that this wouldn't work well enough to be included on this version

Hmm, haven't played chess since high school. Might be fun to get back into it.

I play chess occasionally...I don't really know how good I am at it, all I can say is that I usually thrash my sister...but she's completely rubbish at chess :laugh:

TOTJO chess sounds like a fun idea

I can play chess, but I can't play it well. :silly:
Plus, I haven't played chess in years, but I could re learn how all the pieces move if I read one online article, I predict.

(On a side topic) I've actually really gotten into this game called " Go ".

It's a really simple, fun, and pretty addicting strategy board game involving black and white stones.
I'd be happy to play and/or explain it to anyone, but I probably should make a separate thread for that.

I don't get to play it to often at home. But out here in Afghanistan there is not much to do, so I have taught several people how to play. I play almost everyday, it is awesome. Love Chess.

I had a 3 and a half hour game of chess against Gabriel from IJRS last night

I won after a battle of epic proportions!

I play Chess Titans on the easiest level going and have only won four games. All the other games have ended in a draw. Doesn't matter how hard I try I can't get the computer to make that final mistake, so it just ends up as stalemate.
