I've never played Minecraft, but my brother loves it. He showed me some pictures of worlds that teams of professional players make.
The two below are of cities from Game of Thrones. It's amazing what can come from a fairly basic idea of a game.

i have built a temple before and i have made an abandoned mine my home, and rebuilt strongholds...its all getting boring now
