Power Runes from different cultures

So, I am going to start an art project. I placed in order for several bokken and scabbards (practice katanas) and am going to carve a few for my nephews and one for myself. I have been looking up some Celtic runes for theirs but if anyone had more experience with protection and calming runes from any culture I would love to see some images (and yes half of this is because as I am doing research I realize I know very little about so please share your knowledge!!!!

One of my favourite runes in Norse culture is the Web of Wyrd (also known as the Web of Fate)



This runes can be used to write any letter of the Norse Alphabet within it, and as each rune they have is tied to a magical element it this one the most powerful of all. It means one controls their own destiny and can write their own fate.

Thank you Master! I will put that to good use, I think above and below the crosses I am going to carve for them on the spine of the swords. Eventually I will post the drawings of my planned carving and then the results once I get to work on the wood.
