The pope, a jedi? was created by Yugen

As i saw in another thread, someone said that you don't have to belive in the force (or you don't have to call what you belive in the force). Then does anyone say the pope could be a jedi?

The picture was just some random stuff

The Pope has a number of excellent qualities. I especially like the stories about how he gets his black robes back on, breaks out of the Vatican, and feeds the hungry of Rome at night. When the Swiss Guard tried to get him to stop, he just made them come along and carry more food.

That said, we should avoid applying the name Jedi to anything of which we simply approve. There are a great many ways to be good. Being a Jedi is not a basket into which one collects that endless list of virtues. It is a specific spiritual and/or philosophical endeavor. Also, the individual may not want the name, or any other. I suspect, for instance, that the Pope thinks being Catholic is sufficient.

It is sufficient to admire qualities. No one needs extra labels, especially one they did not choose for themselves. Well-meaning, perhaps, but better avoided.

For instance, it might be better to simply admire the Pope for being a dope MC .

I had the exact though reading this as I did when I read "What is not a metaphor?", and that thought is that one means or is what one intends, and nothing else. Sure, one can think what I've said here is a metaphor, but I did not mean it as one. The pope's ideals may align with Jedi, but he does not mean to be one.

All good people are Jedi and all good Jedi are good people.

What's the difference? None I think/believe. Simplistic but it works for me.

"Jediism is a religion based on the observance of the Force, a ubiquitous and metaphysical power that a Jedi (a follower of Jediism) believes to be the underlying, fundamental nature of the universe."

Unfortunately, the Doctrine doesn't agree with you. Though, I've been guilty of thinking the same thing as you. To be a Jedi is to choose to believe in the Force.

So, when an older person seeks to compliment you by calling you a "good Christian boy/girl", you are a Christian because you are good?
