I know I am new around here and I am not sure if this is the place or this, or if the site has a place for this...still I wanted to ask. So, if the mods take this down...I understand.
I am Chiricahua Apache. As some of you may know from the news as part of the 2015 National Defense Authorization Act, the Gov. plans to trade several thousand acres of sacred land to an international mining company. The impact of this deal and the damage it would do to my people cannot be overstated, the land included is used for many sacred purposes. It not something that can be replaced or paid for, there is nowhere else like it for us. So, I am asking you, my Jedi brothers and sisters to take a moment look at the issue and sign the petition to stop it.
The NDAA is passed almost automatically as matter of procedure, this action to sale the land has failed to pass congress multiple times as an independent bill, however we are a small band and cannot do this alone.
