I don’t know about the rest of the world, but June 6th
is always a somber day of remembrance and gratitude for me. Ranks right up there with Memorial Day.
On a handful of beaches, in faraway lands, brave men of world struggled to decide the future for us all. Each fought with conviction in the hopes of prevailing the day. And many fell…
And every year I take a moment and reflect on our history and how it shaped the society we have become today… good or bad. And I am thankful for what I have.
Without the courage of those that came before us the world would be a much different place. And I am grateful what has been given me.
The chance to continue that legacy and make the world a better place.

In the UK it is a remembered too as the anniversary of D-Day, now 70 years.
It is always worth remembering the struggles that allow us to live as we do now.
If anyone would like to read someone's memories of the day, here is a good place.
