“Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.” -Zhuangzi
“Though, as the crusade presses on, I find myself altogether incapable of staying here in saftey while others shed their blood for such a noble and just cause. For surely must the Almighty be with us even in the sundering of our nation. Our fight is for freedom, for liberty, and for all the principles upon which that aforementioned nation was built.” - Patrick “Madman of Galway” O'Dell
First Novel Question was created by Lykeios Little Raven
Before I take up a bunch of space here I thought I'd ask: is anyone interested in reading an excerpt from my first novel?
I know I have another thread about that short story collection, but this feels like it warrants another. If anyone is interested I'll post it here. Unless someone thinks PM might be better...lol.
Let me know! I don't want to waste people's time if no one really cares. I know I've been yapping on and on about the thing so I'm a little wary of bugging everyone. Even my fiancee asked me if that's all I was going to talk about from now on.

Thanks guys! I knew there had to be some fiction readers that needed new fodder! Haha.
I hope you all enjoy it. Please be honest if you tell me your opinion though. I'm no stranger to criticism and I can take it. I told someone else I tend to eat rejection slips for snacks or breakfasts. :silly:

The book in its entirety? Or the excerpt? Lol. you want the first couple mini-chapters?

I believe in its entirety would be great. Since I am not a big fan of reading things and having to wait for the rest.

Lmao. I feel you! As long as you give me some half decent criticism. Its going to be in rough draft form because I don't plan on starting the rewrite process until at least December. I'm doing my second novel for National Novel Writing Month in November.
