This type website, and no offence intended here, can be quite dangerous. Because you're all so informed - or think you are - about the real meaning of such stories.
Think about it. If I had mentioned "The Force" to you 30 years ago, there would have been none of this informed atheism.

In this respect, the Buddhist masters are very right. Sometimes it is better simply not to know...

Also, main characters that have been done to death are thought of by our hero, Luke Skywalker, as maybe not even existing. Like Yoda for example.

Well then....from humorous to serious. As jestor's avatar says "Why art thou so solemn?"

Yes that's very clever. Jestor the guy with the picture of the Joker from Batman asking "Why so serious?"
Mate I've watched that film 100 times over. You all really need to stop playing games with a popular culture that a lot of us are actually quite touched by. You're interested in it because it's an opportunity for you to hide you're insecurities; and you mistakenly believe that you can capture and experiment apon the sacredness - that people who have actually been serious and have gone on to the next level - can feel when we watch them.
You're tool is ridicule. The horse you are flogging is popular culture; and the sacredness that you wish to find will not come forth because you belive that anger is the source of all good things...

The Dali Lama has become a political idealist. Did you not know that he is their leader in exile?
Jestor, if you want to give faulse praise to polititans you've never met. Go do it in another thread.

I'll be going now.
Just one thing before I leave. Have you ever heard of the need for the two dimensions that create learning? They are: 1. The Vertical and 2. the horizontal.
The vertical is our relationship with those above and below us. Meaning respect for one's seniors and consideration for ones Juniors.
The horizontal is the case of all members - even the ones call teachers - acting as friends and leaning from one another.
Think on this. While I meditate on the offerings I made to Buddha today.
