I must've dreamed a thousand dreams
Been haunted by a million screams
But I can hear the marching feet
They're moving into the street
Now did you read the news today
They say the danger's gone away
But I can see the fire's still alight
They're burning into the night
Too many men, too many people
Making too many problems
And not much love to go round
Can't you see this is the land of confusion
This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth living in
Oh Superman where are you now
Everything's gone wrong somehow
The men of steel, men of power
Are losing control by the hour
This is the time, this is the place
So we look for the future
But there's not much love to go round
Tell me why this is the land of confusion
This is the world we live in...
I remember long ago
Oh when the sun was shining
And the stars were bright all through the night
And the sound of your laughter as I held you tight
So long ago
I won't be coming home tonight
My generation will put it right
We're not just making promises
That we know we'll never keep
Too many men, too many people
Making too many problems
And not much love to go round
Can't you see this is the land of confusion
This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth fighting for
This is the world we live in
And these are the names we're given
Stand up and let's start showing
Just where our lives are going to

Sunny days keepin' the clouds away
I think we're coming to a clearing and a brighter day
So far away. Still I think they say
The wait will make the heart grow stronger or fonder
I can't quite remember anyway
So if you're waitin' for love
Well it's a promise I'll keep
If you don't mind believing that it changes everything
Then time will never matter
Winter, Spring... is what love can truly bring
Ice turns to water, water flows to everything
You can lose your mind, maybe then your heart you'll find
I hope you won't give up what's moving you inside
If the car won't start, when you turn the key
When the music comes on, all your cold, cold heart can do is skip a beat
It's a promise I'll keep
When you're waitin' for love
If you don't mind believing that it changes everything
Then time will never matter

When I go, don't cry for me
In my Father's arms I'll be
The wounds this world left on my soul
Will all be healed and I'll be whole.
Sun and moon will be replaced
With the light of Jesus' face
And I will not be ashamed
For my Savior knows my name.
It don't matter where you bury me,
I'll be home and I'll be free.
It don't matter where I lay,
All my tears be washed away.
Gold and silver blind the eye
Temporary riches lie
Come and eat from heaven's store,
Come and drink, and thirst no more
It don't matter where you bury me
I'll be home and I'll be free
It don't matter where I lay
All my tears be washed away
So, weep not for me my friends,
When my time below does end
For my life belongs to Him
Who will raise the dead again.
It don't matter where you bury me,
I'll be home and I'll be free.
It don't matter where I lay,
All my tears be washed away.

Look in Thy Glass
by William Shakespeare
Look in thy glass, and tell the face thou viewest
Now is the time that face should form another;
Whose fresh repair if thou not renewest,
Thou dost beguile the world, unbless some mother,
For where is she so fair whose uneared womb
Disdains the tillage of thy husbandry?
Or who is he so fond will be the tomb
Of his self-love, to stop posterity?
Thou art thy mother's glass, and she in thee
Calls back the lovely April of her prime:
So thou through windows of thine age shalt see,
Despite of wrinkles, this thy golden time.
But if thou live, remembered not to be,
Die single, and thine image dies with thee.

\"You're a Special Little Spirit,\" the all great Master said,
As he gently caressed the curly brown hair of the Little Spirit's head.
\"You need to go to Earth to spend some time, you know,
A place I send most Spirits to be tested, to learn and grow.\"
The Little Spirit, in sadness, slowly bowed his head,
And from his eye a tear did steal and down his cheek it shed.
\"Don't you fret now little one, I won't let you stay too long,
I'll bring you back to help me here, you'll hardly know that you've been gone.
You're my choicest Little Spirit, you're the apple of my eye.\"
And He wiped the tear and gently kissed His Little Spirit good-bye.
\"I'm back,\" Little Spirit whispered, as he climbed onto his Master's knee,
And the Master said, \"I told you, you would not be long away from me.\"
And then, the Lord, He noticed still another tear welled in his eye.
\"Why are you so sad, Little Spirit, whatever should make you cry?\"
\"I'm glad I'm back,\" Spirit said, \"but Master you must surely know,
When your Angel came to get me, I didn't want to go.
I know you said you needed me and that I'd be gone the shortest while,
But Lord, couldn't I have had a little longer earthly trial?\"
The Master let Little Spirit slip down from off His knee,
He firmly took the little hand and said, \"Come walk with me.\"
The Little Spirit and his Lord walked slowly hand in hand,
As the Master explained his special part in the great and marvelous plan.
\"Now Lord, I don't mean to argue, I understand that you needed me home.
But I left in such a hurry, I left everyone hurting and so alone.
I didn't let my earthly parents know how much I loved them so.
I was much too small to tell them, Lord, how will they ever know?
They feel they've been cheated, and in a way, so do I.
Not getting to share any more than we did, how can I ever tell them why?\"
\"Little Spirit, I know your heart is heavy with this message you need to share.
But you need not worry anymore, I'll watch over your loved ones there.
I'll send them loving comfort as a strong and helping hand.
I'll content and give peace to their aching hearts, so they will understand.
The Little Spirit looked up at his Master and said \"Thank you for explaining it to me.
And could you please tell them I'm safe and happy and that someday they'll be here with me.\"
\"Yes,\" said the Lord with a smile and a nod, \"I'll tell them all that I can.\"
Then the others came to see the Little Spirit, as the Lord let go of his hand.
He said, \"I'll tell them you're pure, as pure as Heaven's Gold,
That I needed the warmth of your perfect soul to keep Heaven from getting cold.\"
As he gently caressed the curly brown hair of the Little Spirit's head.

You could turn a hundred years and never empty all your fears
They’re pouring out like broken words and broken bones
They could fill a thousand pages, be the cry for all the ages
And the song for every soul who stands alone
The ache of life is more than you are able
Hold on love, don’t give up
Don’t close your eyes
The light is breaking through the night
Step out into the day, all the clouds and all the rain are gone
It’s over now
Step out into the sun, for you have only begun to know
What it’s all about
As the hungering dark gives way to the dawn, my love
It’s over now
Time will let the story told grow and grow ‘til it unfolds
In a way that even you cannot ignore
You can say the seasons change but never if you just remain
In a place where the freeze is at your door
What you don’t know is the signs are right for the turning tide
Hold on, hold on
It won’t be long
So hold on

peace takes a taxi to the underground
i want to love the world, but i don't know how
i blame it on the d.j. playin' all the fast songs
ain't spinnin' anything that i can sing along
so if you know the words, then try to sing along
and when you get the beat, grab a hammer, bang a gong
'cause you don't got to fight or make yourself belong
to be a revolution, yeah
to be a revolution, yeah
if you wanna learn to play the rock guitar
throw down your guns, you're gonna be a star
you got to begin with who you know you are
to be a revolution, yeah
'cause the time is right to cross that line
to let love find a way

God's Computer
God’s computer, by His own design -
As we come to Christ, we’re plugged into His line.
Qualified by grace to tap into His power,
Activating our lives for the need of the hour.
Made the programmer of our own soul,
Yet His computer, under His control.
His word is the software needed to function,
By his Holy Spirit we’re given the unction.
As we feed the scriptures into our heart,
Allowing God to cleanse every part,
The computer becomes valuable in the Master’s hand -
Communicating truth throughout the land.
Our system needs booting when we go astray,
So, we shut off the computer, and kneel to pray.
The creator knows all about the trouble that’s there,
And as we turn to Him, He’s ready to repair.
The errors are removed, the power turned on,
A tool once again, His message to make known.
We program more carefully as we go our way,
Feeding in the right data from day to day.
An information channel to reach far and wide -
Oh, to be God’s computer, as in Him we abide.

Death for love's sake ( a sonnet by Perris)
The day i stole your heart away from you
On the coldest day of Jan's snowed morn.
You eyes did see mine, then they cursed knew
your body was shredded, your soul was torn.
My lust was growing like a swelling beast,
my body rising through Cupid's air-
and the red stained your lips to say the least
captured in time with a hideous stare.
Blocking all evil, and blocking the good
far far above me now as i can see
faithful lovers like me do as they should
hearing your screams i had to set you free.
From that day forward your body was mine!
Tell me, who do you fear now Valentine?
The day i stole your heart away from you
On the coldest day of Jan's snowed morn.
You eyes did see mine, then they cursed knew
your body was shredded, your soul was torn.
My lust was growing like a swelling beast,

I thought I was finally over you, but I was to be proven horrably wrong. Everything that reminds me of you makes me sink deeper into this black hole where I am being ripped apart little by little. Your cold heartless actions cut deep like thousands of razors digging deeper with every pass across my skin. The wounds you left will never completely go away that I know for sure but I hope to one day end the lakes of tears created by the memories you so carelessly threw to the wind without a second thought as to how it would affect me and my feelings.
