Oh! I visited Bran Castle on a trip to Romania in 2007. It's totally a fairytale castle. The courtyard is incredible and there's a secret stairwell that leads to the rooftop, where the view is astounding (rolling hills and waterways for miles).
No one is certain that Prince Vlad ever stayed there, though. The castle that Dracula -was known to inhabit- isn't quite as pretty as Bran these days.
One vote for Bran Castle (and if that doesn't work out an island would be nice).
