Shifting the burden of proof, haha :D

I don't know, I've rarely seen this here. That may be due to the liberal approach of "believe what you will as do I" which tends to result in no consensus on anything, but at least the conflicts aren't bursting out all over the place.
Either way, I've heard more interesting fallacious arguments than shifting the burden of proof, even here.

Better to leave questions unanswered than answers unquestioned

shifting the burden of proof does happen every now and then. I am less tolerant of ad hominem (we actually have rules against it), and called someone out on that not long ago (repeat offender), yet let someone get away with it shortly afterwards in hopes that never materialized. Breaking the rules is like going off-road: you'll often get stuck in the mud, but you'll be going new places.

Convictions are more dangerous foes of truth than lies.
