I don't know...it's a bit of an unusual musical instruction, so possibly...

Even if the composer/arranger wanted those musical directions regardless, I find it hard to imagine that he/she didn't notice and have a chuckle to themselves...

I dont really think it is that unusual. I have come across a lot of weirder instructions in high school lit. Still really cool though!
